Civic Engagement Through Youth Media
Youth Capitol Commentary (YCC) is a youth-driven media program to coincide with Opening Day at the Hawai‘i State Legislature, the first day of session each January. Filmed at the State Capitol, YCC gives young people the chance to engage with legislators, community leaders, and the public on the issues that matter most to them.
My Contributions:
Graphic Show Opens: Designed and produced dynamic show openers that set a professional tone for each broadcast.
Behind-the-Scenes Coverage: Captured event BTS to showcase the energy and process behind youth interviews and production.
Marketing Support: Developed promotional assets to boost engagement and viewership across platforms.
YCC is a powerful platform for youth civic engagement, and my work helped elevate its visual impact and reach.
